Happy 2010

Happy 2010 everyone!

Looking back on 2009, I'm filled with happy memories! It sure has been a great year...

First and foremost, Zac officially earned his CPA license. Woo hoo! No more studying! No more exams! More time together. YAY.

Our soccer team not only won first place in their league, but went on to win the post season CIF-Central Coast Section tournament. What an accomplishment. It was the first time in our school's history to make it to the tournament.

My brother started his first official job out of college... teaching high school math at Mount Tabor High School in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Congrats Matt!

My friend Heidi got married in May out in Nebraska! She was a beautiful bride!

Zac's sister, Ashley got married in July in Aptos, CA. Zac was the wedding officiant and I was a bridesmaid along with their sister Marissa, and another friend of Ashley's.

And of course... the year included lots of Disney fun! My parents and I made our usual trips to Disneyland - in April for Disney's California Food and Wine Festival, Labor Day weekend for the Disneyland Half Marathon, again the following week in September for my mom's birthday, and the weekend before Christmas for some Disney holiday fun!

This year also included a very special vacation for Zac and I. We traveled to Walt Disney World in Florida with our friend's Steve and Crissy from Oct 30-Nov 7. Our friend Steve is a Disney Vacation Club member, and graciously hosted us at Saratoga Springs Resort for a magical week of Disney fun! This was both Zac and Crissy's first visit, and my first visit in about 10 years! Of course, our vacation was well timed with the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. We spent the entire week seeing and doing as much as humanly possible at WDW. We also included a few extra fun activities, including - the Hoop De Due Revue show, Cirque du Soleil, shopping at Downtown Disney, and some Food and Wine Festival activities like wine seminars and Party for the Senses. What a week! Zac got very close to signing the dotted line to become Disney Vacation Club members... talk about Disney magic?! Ultimately, we decided buying a house was our top priority, and maybe DVC would be the right fit for us later down the line. Check out some pics:

Zac got to be an audience participant during the live action Indiana Jones show.

The four of us ate a dessert called "The Kitchen Sink" at the Beach Club ice cream parlor.

Oh, and I met Iron Chef Cat Cora at the Party for the Senses. Sweet!

We ended 2009 with happy memories and good times spent with both of our families. The holidays were a little crazy as usual, but as to be expected! As I write this, we are working on taking down the holiday decorations and Christmas tree.... turns out, Zac is okay with leaving the lights on the Christmas tree for just a few more nights! Gotta keep a bit of that holiday spirit around going into the new year.

I'm now troubled with making decisions regarding our wedding. Making "big" decisions. Not my favorite thing to do. I think we've finally decided on a wedding location and date. Eagle Castle Winery in Paso Robles, CA. August 21, 2010. I can't even imagine trying to make the "other" decisions... dress? colors? photographer? music? Ack! Wish me luck.

P.S. The view from Eagle Castle is gorgeous...

Well... Happy 2010 all! Cheers!
